CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Victoria Park cycling lane will be open for the season beginning at noon today – Tuesday, March 31 – as an active transportation pathway.

The early opening of this lane is to provide additional space for the required social distancing during the coronavirus (COVID-19 strain) pandemic.

Anyone using this pathway is asked to be conscious of others, reduce speed if cycling and continue to maintain the minimum two metres (six feet) of physical distance from others.

The pathway will remain open until Oct. 31.

Vehicular traffic will be permitted to travel one way through the park via the outside lane closest to the water.

For further information, contact the parks and recreation office at 902-368-1025.
