UPEI students Adeline Small and Tessa Rogers were spreading awareness about mental illness by taking part in the annual Bell Let’s Talk campaign Wednesday.
Small and Rogers encouraged students to talk about mental health and to use the #BellLetsTalk hashtag on social media to raise funds for Canadian mental health initiatives. Bell donates five cents for evert text message sent through its service on Jan. 31, as well as for using using the hashtag in various ways on social media platforms.
Small and Rogers also gave students the opportunity to write a message on a poster and to sign their name on banner, as well as information about the programs and facilities available on campus for students in need.
