MOUNT PLEASANT, P.E.I. — The RCMP said an escaped horse in the Mount Pleasant area has been located and returned safely to its farm.

Police the horse escaped Thursday afternoon around 4:30 and was last spotted on the north side of Ellerslie Road. 

The RCMP thanked the publc for their assistance in locating the animal.
