CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A weapons complaint early in the morning of Sept. 3 has led to multiple charges.

At 2:55 a.m., Charlottetown Police Services responded to an anonymous 911 call reporting a male in a house on Queen Street with weapons.

Police attended the residence and determined that a verbal argument between two males had occurred but did not involve any weapons.

One of the two men was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.

The 45-year-old Charlottetown man was taken into custody and was to have appeared in court on Thursday.

A 34-year-old Charlottetown man who was at the residence and not involved in the disturbance was arrested on other unrelated matters.

He was subsequently charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.

An additional charge of possession of drugs was also laid when police located drugs following his arrest.

The accused has been released and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
