The husband of a former P.E.I. resident who the police report is missing in Toronto says he wants to be able to talk to her and make sure she’s OK.

On Sunday night, Toronto police issued a report that they were seeking the public’s help to find 40-year-old Katie Balderston who was last seen at 10:15 a.m. that day.

Her husband, Scott Balderston, is also from P.E.I. and spoke to The Guardian Monday about his wife and the search for her.

Scott said he wants his wife to know he misses her.

“She’s the best part of my life.” He said.

The police report described Balderston as five feet two, inches tall with a slim build and long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a white tank top with a blue and white shirt.

The police said she was believed to be driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey with an Ontario licence plate BPAD 403.

In their report, the police also said they are concerned for her safety.

Scott said he hasn’t heard from his wife and wants to talk to her.

“I just want to know she’s safe,” he said.

Anyone with information about Katie’s whereabouts can contact Toronto police at 416-808-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.
