Funding for a nearly $300,000 splash pad project will be put to a vote after a request of decision from Three Rivers committee of council.
Costs include $179,000 for recirculation system of the splash pad, $2,500 for geotech work done at the location, which is near the Montague Recreation Park, and $16,000 for change rooms and washrooms.
The funding would include $30,000 from Three Rivers Rotary, $30,000 from the Town of Three Rivers reserve fund, $10,000 from the Eastern Graphic and $77,000 from the province.
The remaining $136,000 required for the splash pad would be taken from the Town of Three Rivers reserve fund, which would drain it completely.
A commitment from the Town of Three Rivers must be made by Dec. 15, 2019.
The splash pad would be complete by June of 2020 if a commitment was made.
The council moved the request for decision on the commitment and funding of the splash pad to the next council meeting on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
