Text messages leads to charges for Charlottetown man

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 27-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with harassment after sending over a hundred texts in one morning.

Charlottetown police charged the man with uttering threats and criminal harassment following an investigation into a complaint where repetitive, unwanted contact was made with his ex-girlfriend.

In one instance, the man sent in excess of 115 text messages in one morning.

The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
