SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Summerside Police officers had to put their cardio training to work early Wednesday morning when a suspect fled on foot.

Police said officers on patrol on Spring Street, at about 4 a.m., noticed a man who was wanted in relation to a break and enter earlier this month.

The man fled when officers approached him, but was caught after a brief foot chase.

The man was arrested and taken to Prince County jail to await his court appearance Thursday.
