SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Eric MacLeod Johnston, 27, of Summerside has pleaded guilty to a number of criminal charges.

They include: three counts of uttering a threat to cause someone bodily harm, six counts of possession of stolen property including sunglasses, Christmas lights, perfume and sneakers and four cheques, three counts of fraud valued at less than $5,000, two counts of uttering a forged cheque, one count of prowling at night, one count of attempted theft and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, Percocet.

The charges all took place in the Summerside area and are from 2018.

Johnston received a suspended sentence for one of the charges of uttering a threat and must pay a $100 victim surcharge. He was fined $300 and must pay a $90 victim surcharge for possession of the Percocet. 

Regarding all the other charges, he was sentenced to 36 days in jail, must pay victim surcharges totalling $2,000 and serve 18 months in jail.
