SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 22-year-old Summerside area man was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with several offences.
At about 2:20 a.m. on March 16, Summerside police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the South Drive area.
The officer observed the vehicle crossing the centre line of the roadway.
The driver displayed symptoms of drug impairment and was subjected to an assessment by a drug recognition evaluator, which he failed.
The man was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, along with property that was reported stolen from a break and enter in the Miscouche area.
He will appear in provincial court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving, possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.
