STRATFORD, P.E.I. — Council gave preliminary approval to the revised Concord Properties subdivision.

The approval was given during a regular council meeting on Feb. 10. The subdivision was originally set to see 117 lots added to a roughly 46-acre piece of land between Bunbury Road and Heron Drive.

The revised plan has the subdivision reduced to 111 lots over a span of about 48 acres - increasing the number of lots above single dwellings from about 38 to 43 per cent.

This was in part to ensure there'd be more parkland and some existing trees would be protected.

As well, the four streets set to be constructed in the subdivision have been named by the town's heritage committee. They are:

- Captain James Crescent

- Kelly Heights

- Smallwood Terrace

- Goldsmith Row
