The iconic St. Ann's Lobser Suppers have closed after 50 years in operation

The home of Prince Edward Island’s original church lobster supper has served its last crustacean.

The iconic St. Ann’s Lobster Suppers is closing after half a century in operation.

News came via the non-profit organization’s Facebook site.

“We sincerely thank all our previous patrons and staff who supported the suppers over the years,’’ the site notes.

“Your support helped make St. Ann’s Lobster Suppers a P.E.I. landmark and a world renowned culinary destination for half a century.’’

Proceeds from the suppers had been going to support church sponsored charities and parish work in the community.

St. Ann’s Parish is located in Hope River between New Glasgow and Stanley Bridge.
