Strong and cold westerly winds blowing over warm gulf waters will make conditions favourable for snow squalls Wednesday afternoon and evening. That has prompted Environment Canada to issue a snow squall watch in Queens and Kings counties.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow.

A special weather statement remains in place in Prince County where rain is expected to change to flurries before Wednesday morning as cold westerly winds move into the region and temperatures quickly fall below freezing creating potential problems on roads across P.E.I.
