Crews were on the scene over the supper hour Thursday of a single-vehicle accident on the Trans-Canada Highway Route 1 just east of the Albany Y.

The male driver in his 30s appeared to be heading west when he left the highway, said Const. Jon Russell from East Prince RCMP.

​Island EMS was assessing the man and Borden-Carleton fire department was also on the scene.
