ROLLO BAY WEST, P.E.I. – A Rollo Bay West man has been arrested and charged with assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Friday at around 7 a.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a complaint of an assault taking place at a residence in that community.
Officers found the 14-year-old girl with serious facial injuries. She was transported to Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague by Island EMS.
The accused, a 23-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and is now in custody. He’ll face several charges, including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and pointing a firearm. The man will be appearing before a justice of the peace at provincial court in Georgetown later today.
