CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Mayor Philip Brown wants the public works and parks and recreation committees to look into water runoff at the Winsloe Soccer Complex.

The mayor said there is an issue with water run off during heavy rain and melting snow, noting that the field is graded to the west and when heavy rain occurs, the water runs on to the properties that run parallel to the field and park. Residents say their properties are drenched with water to a depth of six to eight feet.

Brown said he visited the site at the request of a resident.

The parks and recreation manager was going to look into the matter with public works.
