A Kensington man who was sentenced to 40 months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman he met through an online dating website is getting out on statutory release.
Jeffrey Lea Hogg was sentenced in 2016 for his second sexual assault conviction in four years.

In a recent report, the Parole Board of Canada imposed several conditions on Hogg’s release, including that he not own, use or possess a computer or device that would allow unsupervised access to the Internet.
Hogg met his victim in 2015 through the online dating website Plenty of Fish.
The victim testified she met Hogg on his boat to talk about a job, and it was there that he sexually assaulted her while the woman’s daughter was in a stroller nearby.
Hogg lied to the victim before they met, including telling her his name was Adam.
He was previously convicted in 2012 and sentenced to 27 months in prison for sexually assaulting a different woman he met through Plenty of Fish.
That victim testified Hogg raped her in the back of his truck.
In its report for Hogg’s statutory release, the parole board said a sex offender assessment puts his risk for sexual violence in the above average range.
The board said Hogg completed programming during his latest sentence, including a program for sex offenders, and a final report noted he made gains.
Hogg’s plan for his release is to live in a halfway house until he can find his own accommodations and to take sex offender maintenance programming.
With the condition that Hogg not own a computer, the board noted he contacted the victim through a dating website and used an alias.
“Your current offence resulted in serious harm and has had negative consequences on your victim’s quality of life,” the board said.
The board also said Hogg demonstrated difficulties regulating sexual urges and behaviours, and it imposed a condition that he follow a treatment plan in the area of sexual deviancy.
“The board is satisfied that, by your behaviours, you have demonstrated a deviant sexual interest as it pertains to sexual coercion.”
Hogg must report all intimate sexual and non-sexual relationships and friendships with women to his parole supervisor.
He is also ordered not to have any contact with the victim or her family.
