WELLINGTON CENTRE, P.E.I. — A Prince County man who didn’t have a driver’s licence or insurance was ticketed and lost his vehicle for a month after the RCMP allege he was going more than 60 km/h over the speed limit.

On Feb. 22 at 12:15 p.m., East Prince RCMP were conduction patrols on Route 2 in Wellington Centre when an officer saw a car travelling 153 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

The officer stopped the vehicle and discovered the 37-year-old driver had a suspended licence, no insurance and the car wasn’t registered.

The RCMP said the driver was given several summary offence tickets and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
