More rain and strong winds are on the way to P.E.I. this weekend.
An intensifying low-pressure system will approach from the southwest and cross New Brunswick Saturday night before moving off towards Labrador on Sunday.
The system will bring rain over the Island Saturday morning and taper off Saturday night.
It’s still too early to say how much rain will fall, current guidance suggests amounts could exceed 25 mm in some areas.
Strong easterly winds can also be expected on Saturday with the rain, followed by strong westerlies on Sunday behind the low.
