Prince of Wales College Alumni is celebrating two landmark anniversaries in Charlottetown on Friday, July 26.

The Class of 1959 marks its 60th anniversary and the Class of 1969 – the first and only to receive a Prince of Wales College degree — will celebrate its 50th anniversary.

UPEI will host the alumni at a noontime luncheon on campus. Guest speakers will be UPEI president and vice-chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz and Holland College president Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald.

At 2 p.m. events move to the Florence Simmons Performance Hall, PWC Campus, Holland College, where the guest speaker will be historian Ed MacDonald.

There will also be presentations of memories of 1959 and 1969 and music by the Blue Crystals band and singer Heather MacAulay.
