Premier to give state-of-the-province address

Premier Wade MacLauchlan said an increase portion of P.E.I.’s lobster catches are going to live market all over the world and time is money. The $2.4 million his government and the federal government gave Island lobster fishermen Thursday will ensure those lobsters are top notch.

Premier Wade MacLauchlan will deliver his annual state-of-the-province address on Monday, Feb. 5, at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel in Charlottetown.

The dinner, hosted this year by the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty, provides the premier with an opportunity to speak about the provincial economy, how it has performed during the past year and how he sees the year ahead.

A reception will take place commencing at 6 p.m. with the dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $35 and are available by contacting Doug Gallant of the rotary club at 902-388-1764.
