KENSINGTON, P.E.I. —

Fine revenues for the Kensington Police department were down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, said Police Chief Lewis Sutherland at the May town council meeting.

“I decided we were going to limit our contact. So, what we did throughout most of the month was, we did our vehicle checks for speeding, or whatever, and they were issuing verbal warnings, that’s how we’ve done it. We’re just breaking out of that now, we’re going to start traffic tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. We’re going back to regular duties,” said Sutherland, referring to Tuesday, May 12.
