CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. woman who stole about $60 worth of items from Canadian Tire was recently fined $500.
Tanya Hope Smith, 47, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown where she pleaded guilty to the theft.
Along with the fine, Smith will be on probation for 18 months, during which time she is banned from Canadian Tire.
Smith must also pay $60 in restitution and write an apology letter.
