A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“April was unusually dry so we could use some rain; unfortunately, I don’t see much rain for the Island this week. A blocking Bermuda High is forcing the wet weather to trac north of the province and that’s where most of the moisture will be. A strengthening high will sink southward, allowing the third in a series of systems to track through with a chance of a few showers. Behind the system, we can expect gradual clearing on Sunday. The clearing comes with a wind shift to the north and below seasonal temperatures for the early part of next week.”
