Weather – A rainy day across the Island
Periods of rain or drizzle amounting to five millimetres across P.E.I. today, with northeast wind gusting to 50 km/h and a high of 5 C. The UV index is 2, or low.
Showers or drizzle expected for this evening with wind gusting to 40 km/h and a low of 3 C.
SaltWire Network’s chief meteorologist said the raw northeast wind blowing across the icy north Atlantic is feeding cold air into a slow moving weather maker.
Cindy Day said the region can expect a brief warm-up on Friday, but the holiday weekend “won’t get off to a very nice start” with another cool, wet system on the radar for Saturday.
Conditions will dry out Sunday, and Monday looks like it might be the nicest day of them all.
