Weather
A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:
“Another wardrobe change in the offing. A developing storm system pushing in from the west will bring snow to the Island Thursday afternoon. As temperatures warm, the snow will become mixed with ice pellets; there’s also a risk of freezing rain in the evening. Snowfall totals will be greatest over Prince County with as much as 15 centimetres of snow possible. The wind will be strong from the east; gusts will reach 80 km/h late Thursday. It’s not often the case, but the wind is not going to kick around to the north in the wake of this system; the system will sit over the region and weaken. That means we’ll stay on the pleasant side with a southwesterly wind and seasonal temperatures through the weekend.”
