“Now that the cold front is through, we’re in for a quiet stretch of weather, at least on land. A large high-pressure system over the central Great Lakes is ridging eastward with cool, dry air and lots of sunshine. That same system will keep what is left of hurricane Paulette well out to sea. Sunshine returns midweek with a little warm-up as the wind comes around to the south, on the backside of the fair-weather system. Another cold front will approach from the west late Thursday with rain and more wind. Remnants of Sally will feed into the bottom of the front and bump up totals over eastern regions of the province. Right now, the weekend looks bright but breezy and cool.”
