“Time to get started on that backyard rink. Our unusual and at times record-setting mild weather is history. A cold high over Manitoba is pulling very cold air down across the province. Air temperatures will be below normal, but it’s the wind that will make it bitter; when you factor in the cold north westerlies, it will feel like -10 to -15 C most of the week. There’s some sun in the forecast but you will also find snow squalls where the wind blows onshore. Temperatures are expected to warm a little, returning to seasonal values this weekend. As for snow, the active weather track continues to be off our coastline. Other than localized snow squalls, there’s not much white in our weather forecast this week.”
