A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“It’s hard to know how to dress these days; the wind is not strong, but the direction keeps changing and will continue to every 12 hours or so. The warm south wind that picked up overnight will swing around to the northwest as the day goes on then veer to the east on Friday. Grandma says – east is least, but don’t worry, it’s not going to linger. A strengthening south wind will come in ahead of Hurricane Epsilon on Saturday. The storm is still not expected to make landfall, but as it tracks south of Sable, then off the Avalon, the wind will rotate around to the north. Sunday is going to be anywhere from seven to 10 degrees cooler with wind gusts to 50 km/h. Monday will be fresh but quiet ahead of an intense system that could bring us 20-30 millimetres of rain on Tuesday.”
