Weather – Cloudy, chance of flurries

It will be a cloudy day across the province. There is a 60 per cent chance of flurries this morning, becoming a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon. Northwest wind gusting to 40 km/h is expected, becoming light this morning. Today’s high is 1 C, but with the wind chill it will feel like -11 C this morning.

Tonight, mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of flurries late this evening and after midnight. South wind expected to gust to 40 km/h this evening. Tonight’s low is -2 C, but with wind chill it will feel like -8 C. The temperature is expected to rise to 4 C by morning. The UV index is 1, or low.

Traffic advisories:

  • Line painting will take place at the intersection of Belvedere Avenue and Mount Edward Road, as well as Belvedere Avenue between Brackley Point and Mount Edward roads from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct traffic.
  • Traffic signal upgrades will be taking place at the intersection of Kent and Prince streets. At times, traffic in this area will be reduced to one lane. Traffic control personnel will be on site. Drivers are reminded that when approaching an intersection where the traffic lights are off, it is to be treated as a 4-way stop. Pedestrian crossing signals and advance arrows are also being installed at this intersection as part of the upgrades.
  • Brickwork is taking place on Queen Street between Water and Richmond streets, resulting in some closures on the sidewalk. Half of the sidewalk in this section will be restricted.
  • Sidewalk work is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of Nov. 11-15): Lower Malpeque Road, off of Old Moore Court.

  • The Confederation Bridge is currently open to all traffic.

Northumberland Ferries Limited – Schedule for Nov. 4-30

  • Departures from Wood Islands: 6:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m.
  • Departures from Caribou: 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 8 p.m.

Arrivals:

  • Air Canada flight 7750 scheduled to arrive at 9:05 a.m. from Hailfax is running late and will arrive at 10:15 a.m.

Departures:

  • Air Canada flight 7751 scheduled to depart for Halifax at 9:20 a.m. has been delayed until 10:30 a.m.
