A word from Cindy Day
SaltWire Network’s chief meteorologist said the raw north-east wind has finally moved on.
Cindy Day said in the wake of this week's slow-moving system, the wind is coming around to the northwest.
The conditions will be drier and will eventually turn into sunny periods.
However, another soggy system will make its way towards the Island.
Rain will move in Friday night and linger through much of Saturday and clearing overnight.
A fast-moving system will bring clouds and more showers late Sunday. Monday looks fair with a mix of sun and cloud and a return to more seasonable temperatures.
