A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“Here we go again. Another spring storm approaching from the southwest will soon have us reaching for our winter boots. The track of this storm is similar to that of Monday’s event, at least initially. It will stay off the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia until it pushes past Cape Breton Island. Then, instead of heading for the Avalon, it’s expected to veer and move across western Newfoundland. That will keep us, once again, on the colder and snowy side of the low. Snowfall totals will not be excessive: five to 10 centimetres – perhaps closer to 15 cm over the eastern tip of the Island. A cool north wind will bring clearing on Friday and a fair weekend will follow.”
