“The mild spell continues as I track a spring-like storm that will reach the Great Lakes late today, sit there and intensify on Friday before tracking north of the province this weekend; we’ll be on the mild, windy and wet side of that one. The rain is expected to start Saturday night and taper to showers late Sunday morning; rainfall totals should be near 15 millimetres. The wind will be from the southeast with gusts to 70 km/h ahead of the system and become southwesterly with gusts to 60 km/h in its wake. Temperatures will cool down on Monday and settle well below seasonal values on Tuesday and Wednesday: mid-week windchill values will be near -16 C!”
