Traffic

Road work continues in Charlottetown today and may cause traffic delays or road closures in some areas.

Sidewalk work will take place on Victoria Street between Spring Park Road and Spring Street; on Chestnut Street between University Avenue and Queen Street; and on University Avenue, at the corner of Douglas Street and University Avenue.

The right turning lane on Capital Drive onto North River Road will be closed for the week to allow for storm sewer pipe installation. Traffic control personnel will be onsite, as traffic will still be permitted to make a right turn at this intersection, through the lane on Capital Drive. Traffic will experience delays as a result of this work, so drivers should seek alternate routes.

Construction for the Water and Sewer Utility Infrastructure Renewal program will continue with traffic impacts along Belvedere Avenue this week. Traffic control personnel will be on-site, but drivers should seek alternate routes. Sidewalks in the area may also be impacted.

Weather

It’ll be a wet day across P.E.I. with about 2-4 cm of rain expected this morning and a high of 8 degrees C.

Fog and wind will develop this evening, with another 15 to 25 mm of rain expected. The temperature will reach about 12 C by morning.
