CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Profane language and drug references were enough for most of the 17 rejected vanity licence plate requests in P.E.I. in 2017.
The Transportation Department can reject vanity licence plates for several reasons, including messages that express violence or discrimination.
Plates also can’t include abusive, derogatory, obscene or profane language.
A spokeswoman for the Transportation Department said most of the rejections in 2017 were because of profane language and drug references.
That included WTF666, NOFKSGVN and CANNACO.
Licence plates don’t have to be related to drugs, vulgar or profane to be rejected.
In 2015 the province wouldn’t allow two requests for licence plates that said “Star Wars.”
