CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. —

An Islander will test his mettle in a bicycle ride to honour Canada’s wounded veterans.

Colin Craig will be participating in the Wounded Warriors Canada Highway of Heroes Ride Nova Scotia on Aug. 23-25.

“It’s both an honour and a privilege to be able to participate in this ride. I know what it is to have to find that inner strength, so I look forward to sharing the experience with the other riders."

The ride begins at 14-Wing Greenwood and heads to Wolfville, N.S. the first day. Then the riders pedal to Halifax, finishing the 200-km ride at Citadel Hill.

“It’s both an honour and a privilege to be able to participate in this ride. I know what it is to have to find that inner strength, so I look forward to sharing the experience with the other riders,” said Craig.

More information can be found on the Wounded Warriors Canada website under the link for the Nova Scotia ride. The ride is open for anyone who would like to participate. Those who cannot take part in the ride itself can sponsor a rider or donate to the cause.
