CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who was caught on video using a stolen Visa card was sentenced recently to five days in jail.

Daniel James Acorn, 34, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to breaching his probation and using a stolen credit card.

The court heard that on Feb. 22, Acorn was caught on video using the stolen Visa card three times at an Irving gas station for purchases worth a total of $190.67.

The card was reported stolen from a vehicle.

Douglas also ordered Acorn to pay $190.67 in restitution.
