Public meetings will be held in four locations this month to give the public an opportunity to provide input on new draft regulations under the Water Act.
The regulations will control water extraction and outline how much water can be drawn from wells, watercourses and wetlands.
Meetings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 22 in Summerside at Three Oaks High, Oct. 24 in Mill River at Hernewood Junior High, Oct. 29 in Montague at Kaylee Hall and Oct. 30 in Charlottetown at Charlottetown Rural High.
An overview of water resources can be found at www.onthelevelpei.ca.
There will also be a survey available on the site from Oct. 22 until Nov. 8 for those unable to attend.
