After falling nearly 20 cents in the past month across Prince Edward Island, gas prices will remain unchanged during the mid-month pricing review.

Overnight, the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission said there would be no change in the prices of gas, furnace and stove oil or diesel.

Propane prices dropped by 3.5 cents at Irving, 2.2 cents at Superior and by 1.8 cents at Kenmac Energy.

Pump prices for regular gas at self-serve stations on P.E.I. now stand at 104.2 to 105.3 cents per litre. That follows pricing drops of 1.0 cent on Dec. 1, 3.1 cents on Nov. 28, 4.5 cents on Nov. 15, 3.3 cents on Nov. 8, 2.6 cents on Nov. 1 and 5.0 cents on Oct. 20.

The commission states that “nominal fluctuation” in wholesale prices did not warrant another price adjustment at this time.

The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment is on Jan. 1, 2019.
