The price of gas has dropped under a dollar a litre, decreasing by three cents in the overnight pricing decision by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.

At self-serve outlets, prices for regular, unleaded gasoline now range from 97.3 to 98.4 cpl.

Propane prices will increase by 0.9 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing; by 1.1 cpl for Superior Propane; by 0.6 cpl for Island Petroleum; and by 1.4 cpl for both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum.

There is no change to the price of furnace oil or diesel.

Diesel prices continue to range from 101.1 to 102.2 cpl. and the maximum price for furnace oil is 71.7 cpl.

The maximum price for propane will range from 71.6 to 73.0 cpl. For current petroleum prices visit irac.pe.ca.

The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment is Oct. 30.
