P.E.I. driver gets $880 ticket for speeding

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 19-year-old driver was issued a ticket after driving almost 80 km/h over the speed limit.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, Charlottetown police clocked the vehicle, which was in the in the south bound lane on University Avenue, driving at 128 km/hr in a posted 50 km/hr speed zone.

The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was issued an $880 speeding ticket and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 24 hours.
