CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A campaign that draws thousands of people to Island restaurants each spring has been postponed as the organizers of Burger Love deal with the impact of COVID-19.

Organizers announced this morning they are aiming to launch the P.E.I. Burger Love campaign on May 15 through to June 15.

In a statement, the organizers said they made the decision after consultations with chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison.

The dates are tentative and a further update will be provided at the end of April after consulting with public health officials, the statement said.

Burger Love was originally scheduled to run during the month of April and started in 2011 as a way to promote Island beef through often elaborate creations.
