The Smokin' Fox at Phinley's Diner in Stratford has been crowned 2013 P.E.I. Burger Love champion.

The Smokin’ Fox has been crowned the 2013 P.E.I. Burger Love champion.

Dave Moore, chef at Phinley’s Diner in Stratford, was on hand to accept the trophy following the third annual one month campaign, which was created to promote Island beef.

A total of 21,917 pounds of beef were served in April. That amounts to a total of 46,224 burgers sold.

A total of 31 restaurants competed in P.E.I. Burger Love. The winner came down to fan voting. More than 10,000 votes were cast.
