POWNAL, P.E.I. — A 56-year-old Mount Albion man has died as a result of injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle Nov. 18.
The RCMP is investigating the fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Route 1 in Pownal.
The man was walking along the Trans-Canada Highway, Route 1, in Pownal when he was struck by a pickup truck.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the collision.
While early indications are that neither alcohol nor drugs were a contributing factor, it is possible that wet roads and a very dark night may led to poor visibility which may have been a contributing factor.
