Parking tickets up in Charlottetown in 2019

Parking commissionaires in Charlottetown wrote 776 fewer tickets last month compared to June 2017.

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Parking commissionaires in Charlottetown issued 2,955 tickets in December.

That’s up from the 2,503 they wrote in the same month one year earlier.

That brings the total to 33,088 parking tickets that were issued in 2019, up from 31,408 handed out in 2018.

As for the nuisance bylaw, 48 tickets were issued in December, up from 42 issued in December 2018.

A total of 1,005 tickets were issued in 2019, up from the 888 handed out in 2018.

And, there were 10 dog bylaw fines issued in December, down from the 19 issued during the same month in 2018.
