P.E.I. has one more confirmed case of COVID-19 after a rotational worker who recently travelled tested positive.

Chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison confirmed the case this afternoon, saying it was a man in his 20s who recently travelled to P.E.I. from outside the Atlantic region.

The man has been in self-isolation since arriving in P.E.I. and was found to be positive after routine testing.

The chief public health office said contact tracing is complete and the case is not related to any recent positive cases in the province.

There are five active COVID-19 cases in P.E.I. and there have been 73 positive cases since the pandemic began.
