Public health officials announced one new case of COVID-19 in P.E.I. Thursday, April 9.
The new case is a person in their 30s and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada. They are isolating and being monitored by public health, officials said in a statement.
Public health officials are also asking any Islanders who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to get tested and self-isolate until results are back.
There are now five active cases of COVID-19 in P.E.I. and 161 total cases since the start of the pandemic.
