SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 27-year-old Summerside man faces several charges after being arrested at a grocery store on Saturday.
On March 16 at about 6:30 p.m., an off-duty Summerside police officer was shopping at the Granville Street Superstore and observed a man leaving the store without having paid for a basket of meat he was carrying.
The officer followed the man outside, identified himself as a police officer and placed the man under arrest.
The man was then turned over to police and is facing charges of theft and breach of probation.
