CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The chairman of Charlottetown's Water and Sewer Utility committee says there's no update on hauling Stratford's sludge to the city's wastewater plant on Riverside Drive.

During council's August public meeting, Coun. Mitchell Tweel asked Coun. Jason Coady whether Stratford has made any arrangements to start work on a project that would see the sludge piped over to the Charlottetown plant.

Coady said that while there is some ongoing dialogue there is no update.

Richard MacEwen, manager of the utility, said the Town of Stratford contnues to have discussions with the province over funding.
