Police say there was no apparent mechanical malfunction in a single-vehicle collision last month in Charlottetown that inured a motorcyclist and killed his wife.

Charlottetown Police Services Deputy Chief Brad MacConnell says police are still waiting on the health of the driver to improve before interviewing him.

The man was airlifted to a hospital in Halifax following the collision on July 15. The man’s 62-year-old wife was pronounced dead at the scene.
